Vertical is a bold and brave new daytime party concept that is going to inject some serious vibes into Saturday afternoons in the capital. Starting April 18th and running midday to 11pm, the likes of Maxxi Soundsystem, Waifs & Strays, PBR Streetgang, Finnebassen, Death on the Balcony, Nora en Pure and more are all playing at The Old Baths in Hackney Wick over the course of summer.
The outdoor beach area with music, street food stalls and a cocktail shack serves up pure carnival vibes. The vast music hall is sure to make for a serious atmosphere, especially as a massive Funktion One Dancestack system will be brought in for these shows, and the floor to ceiling windows will beam in the sunshine. The Old Baths also has two adjoining gallery spaces, which will see some top local promotions take charge. Another dirty warehouse this most certainly is not, a perfect daytime party place it most certainly is.
The fun kicks off on April 18th with Hypercolour act Maxxi Soundsystem and Leeds’ PBR Streetgang, then May 16th finds UK house duo Waifs & Strays headline with 2020Vision man Simon Baker and Death on the Balcony. Finnish deep house star Finnebassen and Italian Pirupa then step up on July 11th, and on August 15th you’ll be treated to Purple Disco Machine and a very special London debut from Enormous Tunes alumni and deep house talent Nora en Pure.
There will be a second wave of acts announced very soon, with more dates and more top names all set to play, so keep your eyes peeled!
