You don’t have an inner diva – there’s nothing to nurture beneath the world-famous twinkling Pacha cherries. Swtizerland’s Andre Oliva’s coming though, and you’re allowed to be buzzing about that.
Don’t expect a bombardment – everyone’s melding genres right now (or trying to – Atjazz), but Andrea’s a bit different and, I think, exciting. It’d be merciless to say I’m glad a 13-year-old Andrea had to scrounge for disgusting Vinyl ten-packs, but in the post Aubrey Graham era I am glad somebody started from the bottom.
He’s got a bunch of wide-ranging influences, sure – Rage Against the Machine and N.W.A, I’ve heard, but he pulls them into the house/techno/nu disco he’s got happening. Hear it over Pacha’s souped-up Martin Audio sound system.
