NOAA predicts stormy summer for the Carribean

Visiting the Carribean this summer? Don’t expect a drier, sunnier time. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued a warning for “an active or extremely active” summer of storms over the tropical region, stating there may be up to double the usual number of hurricanes between June and November due to the Atlantic hurricane season.
Despite the warning, NOAA states there is no real reason for worry as the chances of encountering a hurricane are still relatively small, the likelihood being 1 in 50 at its worst. Even so, travellers who wish to change their plans can check with their tour operators (assuming you didn’t plan everything by yourself), as they are required to offer refunds or alternatives if any travel plans are side-lined by storm warnings.
Oh well, so much for escaping the gloomy British shores eh?
