The festival Exit initially began in 2000 as a student protest against the oppressive Serbian government with the slogan “Exit out of ten years of madness”. It has since gained enormous success and grown greatly in stature. It’s held annually in the Petrovaradin Fortress located in Novi Sad, Serbia’s second largest city and the cultural capital of the country. The fortress offers a stunning view of the city as well as fantastic acoustics that other festivals can only dream of.
This year the festival takes place from 10th-14th July and is bound to be another great experience. The acts this year vary from electronic music pioneer SBTRKT to American rapper Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion. The Fusion stage at Exit is a prime example of the diversity of acts the festival has to offer. The stage hosts the angelic Delilah, metal band Prong as well as Serbian blues player Ana Popovic.
The mere amount of £115 gets you a five day festival ticket, 8 days accommodation, airport transfer and a city pass. What a bargain! Exit offers something for everyone and is a must-do for music lovers everywhere.
