Berlin- For nude photography, cigar lounges and European charm. The 'power of positive drinking' is the ethos of playwright Fritz Müller-Scherz, who owns the kitschy Green Door bar. There is an emphasis on bohemian decor and ambient lighting, and the drinks-such as the Monkey’s Gland, a blend of absinthe and English marmalade- are adventurous.
Beijing- For futurism, Wifi and jacuzzis. Often placed in apartments hundreds of feet in the air, the bars of China’s capital offer neon lights, a fast-paced party atmosphere and high-tech, jet stream toliets. Green wasabi drinks are served up with one dash traditionalism, one dash sci-fi experimentation at the eccentric Mokihi bar.
