Thousands of hopefuls enter ballot for big race,
The London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet – runners have raised over £500 million for good causes since the race began in 1981. If you'd like to get involved and run for charity, here's how:
- Many charities have entry places in the Virgin London Marathon each year though the Golden and Silver Bond scheme.
