Taking place in Dortmund, Germany, the 27th and 28th April, this festival will bring the best of house and electro all in one weekend!
Created in 1991, Mayday Festival is one of the main German electronic events of the year. With more than 25,000 attendants spread in five separate halls, and 15 hours of non-stop party including two megawatts of electricity power a multitude of lasers, smoke machines, LED visuals and bone-shaking soundsystems, it has been compared with the likes of Loveparade and NATURE ONE.
This year, though it’s easy to get impressed just hearing the names of the headliners: Sven Väth, Carl Cox, Len Faki and Adam Port. This bunch of outstanding and world-renowned DJ’s, will bring the best of electro, trance, hard dance and techno to The 'Mother of all Raves'.
The festival was created with the purpose of supporting the East German youth radio DT64, which was to be liquidated in 1992, with an indoor rave. The minds which made it happen belonged to Fabian Lenz (DJ Dick) and his brother Maximilian Lenz (WestBam) and the techno magazine Frontpage. Other editions brought names such as Moby, Aphex Twin, The Prodigy, Jeff Mills, Paul Van Dyk or Dr. Motte.
Start practicing German’s basics!
