Enei comes up with his Machines

Drum and Bass | Thursday 18th October 2012 | Shavy

Alexey Egorchenkov, aka Enei, will release his debut album, Machines on 12th November.

Enei is a Russian Drum & Bass music producer who started his career in 2003 but escalated after 2006. In 2007, he came up with his official release on the Dutch Label, Fokuz. He is well known for his release for Critical Music at the end of 2010, like ‘Cracker’, ‘One Chance’ and the much lauded ‘Stone Head EP’. For label head, Kasra ‘Stone Head EP’ is "a formidable mixture of rolling drums, floor shaking bass and attitude." In 2011 he was applauded as the ‘Best Newcomer Producer’ at Drum & Bass Arena Awards.

This year, his debut album, Machines, it’s coming up with 11 unreleased tracks -mostly at Drum & Basss tempo. The album has vocal appearances from DRS and Georgia Yates, and collaborations with Kemo (on "Saligia") and Eastcolors & Noel on an updated VIP version of 2011's "Cracker." The vinyl release features only four tracks from the album. Check him out at Fabric on the 2nd November headlining Room 2 alongside Kasra, Ed Rush and Break.

Incredibly stylised, Enei’s production is tight and minimal. If previous tracks such as ‘No Fear’ featuring the inimitable vocals of Riya and ‘Forgive Me’ are anything to go by, this album will be dark yet full of techno funk. He has been hyped by Hype, Utah Jazz, Bailey and many more and we are set to see and hear more from him as we enter 2013.

Critical Music will release the album on 12th November 12, till then enjoy Enei’s Stone Head EP!
