The teenage electronic genius has already released ‘The City’ EP
This European tour will be Madeon’s debut as a headline in a special show that he had prepared, and that will bring his original and unique vibes all around the continent. He will visit cities such as Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris and Hamburg before hitting the UK for his first headline London show in 2012. He will also be the main support act for Lady Gaga when she tours the US with her Born This Way Ball in 2013.
Madeon released new EP ‘The City’ last week, which follows on from the huge success of previous singles ‘Icarus’ and ‘Finale’, both of which entered the UK Top 40. In an interview with Popjustice, he said about the song: "The City is a pop song so it's 125 (BPM). Icarus was more electro so it's 126. I've been experimenting with more tempos recently though. The minimix was 115! But it ended at 128. At 130 there's no groove, there's no funkiness at 130. And at 120 it's not dance enough for me."
The City EP also includes the extended mix of The City, the unreleased Netsky Remix of Finale and two unreleased mixes of Icarus. 'The City' released this week on his own label popculur (distributed by Columbia). Madeon's debut album is set for release in 2013.
