Get to Know! Five Huge Nights in House, Techno & Electro Coming Soon to London

House | Friday 28th September 2012 | Martin

Massage your ears and catch some Z’s, prepare yourself mentally, meditate, get up early and do some YOGA, fill up on granola and fruit juice, because you will want to be in peak physical condition  for these upcoming events in London Town. Some of the biggest and best artists around in Techno, Electro and House have shown up the Guestlist radar and these are our top picks:

Flying Lotus is hitting up The Troxy November 16th and you know what that means, pure electronic pandemonium from one of the brightest lights in dance music. This is one of the most highly anticipated shows of 2012 as FlyLo lands in London with his long-awaited fourth studio album “Until the Quiet Comes”. Expect a deep exploration of dream-like beats and mystical soundscapes.

Get to Fabric on Saturday October the 18th to see Italy’s biggest export since Ferrero Rocher, Marco Carola. Room One will be bumping to the robust minimal techno that Carola has brought back into taste. He will be joined by R&S Records stalwarts, Pariah and Blawan, as well as the mesmeric Blond:ISH. Karenn will be locked down in Room Two in between sets from Craig Richards and Peter Van Hoesen. Massive!

It has been 10 years since DJ Harvey last spun into a London venue, but the wait is nearly over. Red Bull Music Academy will host this legendary beatmaker as he returns to his spiritual home on Oct 19th. This UK comeback show will trounce anything you were thinking of going to, so clear your calendar and get to the Oval Space in East London for some hypnotic disco.

Wolf + Lamb are a hotbed of talent just now, bringing you dance-floor excitement & satisfaction by the spoonful. Now this traveling collective are scheduled to hit London’s Loft Studios on the 19th October under the new guise of Crew Love. After years of making music and touring together, the Wolf + Lamb family have become a well-oiled machine yet they stay true to that DFA philosophy that James Murphy personifies. The line-up also includes PillowTalk and No Regular Play.

Four Tet are to curate one of the biggest nights Brixton Academy has seen this year on November 2nd. Kieran Hebden is set to join forces with Caribou again, and anyone who was in Berlin last year or Bestival 2012 will know the chemistry of this DJing super force. Also on the bill: James Holden, Ben UFO, Floating Points, Pangaea and Pearson Sound.
