Zoo Project Festival: Thank God it’s Going to be Annual!

House | Tuesday 18th September 2012 | Osh

After a weekend of 10-foot tall show girls, acrobatic gorillas, tribal fire-breathers, raving zebras and fist-pumping lions all situated within a real wild animal park, it’s fair to say that the Zoo Project team brought the madness to Kent in the best way possible!

Zoo Project brought a varied line-up over the course of the festival, covering three stages hosted by DJ Mag, Cocoon Heroes and Sasha’s Never Say Never amongst other fantastic promoters. Julio Bashmore, Visionquest and Heidi brought in the soulful to tech-house vibes, while Sasha, Scuba and Ben Klock played out there trance to experimental sets with DJ Sneak, Eats Everything and George Fitzgerald keeping things house over the weekend.

The festival was just the right size for its launch. The numbers were big enough to give it that constant anticipation through the masses but small enough for a community-like feel to be aroused by Saturday morning. The crowd was a very mixed bunch with Ibiza regulars, seasoned festival go-ers and electronic music lovers from around the country.

Zoo Project did an excellent job of hosting an unforgettable weekend. As a festival, it was impressive, but as a first, it was unimaginable. I give a recommendation for anyone who enjoys festivals, animals and electronic music.

Well done Zoo! Now check out the atmosphere that blew up when Julio Bashmore unleashed his 'Au Seve'!
