At the begining , Soulwax was an electro-rock band from Belgium, composed of four artists: David Dewaele, Stephen Dewaele, Stefaan Van Leuven et Steve Slingeneyer. Their first album Leave the story untold released in 1996 was based on rock-pop music style but soon they turn into electronic by remixing their own albums Any Minute Now and Nite Versions in 2005.
Dewaele brothers formed 2 many DJ's in the 90s and started to mix after their own concerts. After having working for the belgian radio and playing in many clubs in The Netherlands as well, their new aim is to do the London scene, one of the most popular areas in Europe for partying. They began to mix for the London-based radio Xfm and aquired their own reputation on the continent.
Soulwax and 2 many DJ's are on a litterally constant tour, they keep going from city to city and country to country: New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, Moscow, Tokyo, Barcelona, Sidney, Paris, Milan, Berlin, New-Zeland, China, Ireland, Poland, Canada, Mexico...
We will have the chance to catch them here in the UK at London SW4 Festival on Sunday 26th of August with a set from 2 Many DJ's - you better be quick, last tickets available. And, at Bestival on the Isle Of Wight from midday to 11:30pm , a good opportunity to be part of our UK summer festival and enjoy both live and DJ set of those who sculpted the face of proper electronic remixes this last 10 years.
