MySpace Set to Relaunch Itself (One More Time)

House | Wednesday 23rd May 2012 | Osh

The music social networking site, MySpace is in a new attempt to reinvent itself by looking back at its roots. After the success of Facebook and Twitter, MySpace has realised its position is a long way from the other social networking sites and its success is strictly based on music. Therefore, the site launched in 2003 by Specific Media LLC and the star Justin Timberlake, is on the way to reposition itself as what it was created for: the music hub.

But this is not the first time, the website has tried to do this. Around this time last year, MySpace announced its intention to compete as commercial music hub against Vevo, iTunes and Spotify but these intentions were to no avail. Now, MySpace is aiming to reposition itself as a music destination and the site where you can find everything about any artist: events, photos, popularity, info and, of course, their music.

The re-launch of MySpace is going to be ready by the end of this year.
