Exit Festival

Monday 14th May 2012 | Osh
Entering its 13th year, this Serbian festival has grown from a student’s dream into an immense reality. Held in a 17th century fortress on the Danube River, Exit Festival has the perfect blend of 16 kilometre underground tunnels and open spaces to provide the one-of-a-kind acoustics you would expect to find at £95 a ticket (with the added expenses of flying). Originally hosting Serbian-only bands, the festival’s reputation has grown and 2012’s line-up is looking incredible. There really is something for everyone, from Duran Duran and Guns N’ Roses, to Plan B and Benoit and Sergio. At 80,000 square metres (equivalent to 15 football pitches) there is plenty of room for camping. If you are not the camping type, there are hotels in town that are a short 20 minute walk from the festival entrance. The festival takes place from 8pm to 8am, creating an enchanting atmosphere, so make sure to get your beauty sleep during the daytime.
