The UK’s best electronic collaboration for a three day party on Croatia’s coastline.
There’s so much going on in the world of house and dance music at the moment it’s pretty hard to keep up with it all. That (fairly) recent merging of more upbeat bass music and house has washed up a whole new wave of electronic artists with each showing off their own perspective of sound. And our favourite UK seaside town Brighton seems to have conjured up almost as many of these exciting musicians as its bigger and busier sister, London. Our love here at The Guestlist Network for house music plus motivation to get good sounds heard by willing ears means that we’re pretty excited about Echo Festival for quite a number of reasons, including the fact that this constantly widening hub of music is gonna be showcasing the best it’s got...
The Echo Festival organisers and contributors consist of a lengthy array of Brighton based collectives and record labels including ENK, Well Rounded Records, Yeti in the Basment, Kung Fu, Krankbrother and more, who have all come together for the first time, along with their exciting and forward- thinking artists to create a three day party full to its beautifully sandy brim with some truly sick music that deserves have a chance to be danced to in the in the blissful and picturesque surrounds of Makarska, Croatia.
It’s one thing trying to explain what kind of vibes will be experienced listening to your favourite music amongst others who feel the same about it in an environment somewhere on a par with paradise; you may just be able to grasp feeling from a hazy memory if you’ve been to one of the fair few UK music festivals based in Croatia that have been cropping up in the past few years. But what makes Echo different will be its seriously intimate vibes: think house party styley (or maybe a bit bigger) but in thirty- degree heat, 24 hour bungee jumping, jet- skiing and other watersports activities. You won’t really get much further from serious bliss unless you really aren’t fond of sun, sea and bloody good tunes.
For the full line- up you’ll have to get on to the Echo website but here’s a few to whet the palate: Timeout’s ‘One To Watch’ vote, Hackman, drum and bass’s Lenzman, Deadboy, Koreless, SpectraSoul, Pariah, Midland, S.P.Y, Cozzy D, Alexis Raphael, Cluekid, a DJ set from reggae princes, General Roots and more.
One last little thing: tickets are currently priced at £35, flights are just over £100 return and the festival is only a couple of months away! Literally no excuses really, are there? Get yourself on to www.echofestival.com for full information.
