Submotion Orchestra UK Tour in Full Swing

Drum and Bass | Wednesday 14th March 2012 | Osh

The seven Submotion members have been non-stop pushing their individual live sound since the Submotion Orchestra EP release in May last year. Anyone whose ears warm to beautiful bass-y and warm melodic tunes will have been following this Leeds based band - we’ve been intrigued about their journey since our first listen and seeing as they show no signs of slowing we’re pretty damn excited about catching them on the London leg of the UK tomorrow. Ultimately the music they make is dubstep-influenced live music topped off with gorgeous vocals from frontwoman, Ruby Wood, but, unfortunately for us writers, words don’t really cut it when it comes to music as original at this so it would be a good idea to check out their music for yourselves if you haven’t already.

The band have been showcasing their debut full-length album Finest Hour during this busy week-long tour that began on Monday and finishes up on Sunday 18th in Exeter - so fans countrywide have had a chance themselves a nice dose of Submo. Last year they smashed it at all the festivals; Glastonbury, The Big Chill, Bestival and Outlook, all of which they’ll be featuring at this summer too!

Unfortunately all tickets are sold out for their London date at Scala in King’s Cross tomorrow so if you haven’t had a chance to get any this time then rest assured you will be able to catch Submo playing in the capital again soon, and in the meantime you can keep up to date on www.submotion.co.uk where you can find links to all their tunes as well.

Planas (pictured below) will be giving DJ support at all the remaining tour dates - check out his music and Submotion remixes at
