It’s all about the night life this season whether it’s on home turf or across the channel, either way we have handpicked the most unique hot spots which may tickle your fancy abroad.
La Fira, Barcelona, Spain
Already renowned for its electrifying night life, Barcelona has upped the stakes with world class club La Fira. Not only does the venue conform to the modern standards of ‘hipness’ but it doubles as a Victorian fairground museum which we think is totally impresionante. The bars and food stands look like fair stalls from back in the day and the chance to perch yourself in the bumper cars or teacups for a breather. These relics are certainly one of a kind so prepare yourself for a dramatic and eerie evening.

Cocoon, Frankfurt, Germany
Sven Vath has had enough image changes over the years to warrant the use of several cocoons and the club branch of his world famous record label is certainly a change of scene. We’re already used to seeing Germany’s ultra chic decor, so how’s this for a change? The membrane walls are encased with flickering holograms, for your comfort the club is decked out with 13 cocoon-like pods, and for your eyes the space age platform is endowed with colour. Vath also owns a chain of high quality restaurants situated around the club’s area so you can make a date of it.

Skye, Sao Paulo, Brazil
Settled on top of one of Sao Paulo’s many characterfully luxurious hotels, Unique Hotels Skye Bar is for those who don’t mind dizzying heights. Taking in the sweeping view over the city’s rooftops, while sipping on a Wasabi Martini underneath the sky might even leave the the most height savvy amongst us overwhelmed. When it all gets too much, fall back into old school Hollywood glamour with an open air pool and indulge in the swish atmosphere.
