Skrillex announces UK dates of first World Tour.
Rising American producer and DJ, Sonny Moore, gets ready to hype his fans this side of the pond...
It’s no secret that dubstep has grown into a very big boy over the past couple of years. Scenes have been germinating all over the world and producers in the United States have been particularly efficient at making their mark on the genre. Sitting at the top of that pile is Skrillex. Having already worked with the likes of The Black Eyed Peas, Lady GaGa and LaRoux he is refreshingly unafraid to marry the bass music aesthetic with a pop sensibility. His nine-track Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites EP has already dominated top music retailer Beatport, becoming the first dubstep release to gain the number one position in their chart. In short; Mr. Moore has played an integral part in bringing bass music to the mainstream and this can be no bad thing. The DJ has already showcased his talents throughout the country earlier this year at Creamfields and Global Gathering and it would seem he hasn’t tired of us yet. His UK dates kick off on November 16th with support from the aptly chosen Koan Sound and Flux Pavillion and they’re set to reach pretty much every city we’ve got. The tickets are being snapped up at alarming speeds, with Oxford and Newcastle already sold out. Luckily they’ve kindly added a second London date so if you don’t have your mitts on one already; don’t be a waste man a second time round...
