Nightlife Travel: Copenhagen
Tuesday 8th November 2011 | Osh
Time to head north to Scandinavia’s playground and visit Denmark’s fun, late night loving capital!
Copenhagen is full of history, great architecture and awesome local cuisine, but sometimes we just want to go somewhere and see how the locals get down and party. The city comes alive in the nighttime, starting late and still raving even later so make sure you pace yourself so you can keep up with the locals.
The capital specialises in hybrid bars that change throughout the night from restaurant, to bar and finally to the club so check out Aura to take you through to the early hours. If you want to switch up your night and see as much of the nightlife there is to offer in one night, start out for pre-drinks at the trendy Cafe Norden, hit up Australia Bar on a Thursday night for a 10 kr. bar and then make your way to IN which is three clubs in one (La Hacienda, Jukebok and The Dancefloor). A lot of Copenhagen’s clubs have an open bar on the weekend, but the cover charge can be pricey especially for men. Most clubs get going around 1am and go on until around 5am.
To cope with next day’s hangover, make your way to Christiania which is Denmark’s answer to Amsterdam, where you are sure to find the perfect way to mellow out.
