Richie Hawtin Presents Plastikman Live 1.5
House | Wednesday 17th August 2011 | Osh
Richie Hawtin returns as Plastikman for his first ever standalone tour, Richie Hawtin Presents Plastikman Live 1.5.
Plastikman is arguably one of the most exciting shoes in electronic music - music, lighting, audio, visuals and real-time audience interaction via the SYNK App - all controlled by one person.
His 2010 tour debuted at Timewarp in Mannheim to a rapturous response. However Richie and his team have evolved the show for his upcoming show, incorporating brand new Plastikman music, visuals and interactive technologies.
Hawtin describes his excitement for the forthcoming tour: “I'm incredibly excited to finally take Plastikman on its first standalone tour. These dates will represent the last opportunities for fans to catch Plastikman Live in its current form: the 1.5 version of the show we've spent nearly a year of fine-tuning. After that, Plastikman will be returning to the shadows to begin work on a brand new 2.0 concept. The fall tour will be full of surprises, and the performance will continue to be spontaneous and unique for every show – the way I believe live music should be performed in 2011.”
You can catch ‘Plastikman Live 1.5’ in London on 2nd December at Brixton Academy, with support from Magda and Ambivilent.
