New Jam City lives up to Night Slugs tradition

Yesterday Jam City released 'Unhappy' on his SoundCloud, the first single of his forthcoming second album. The release is sure to excite fans of his label Night Slugs – praised by Mix Mag for 'redefining the visual and sonic aesthetic of underground club music'. Founded by L-Vis 1990 and Bok Bok six years ago, the crew has built up a posse of highly talented producers who consistently defy definition, maintaining that there is no Night Slugs sound.
Jam City is a case in point. His landmark debut album 'Classical Curves' achieved cult status and galvanised a new wave of young club music producers with its genre-evading yet cohesive style. This latest track is a sign of more to come. Spacious and sublime beats combine with euphoric chords and hazy vocals to reflect a new and more melodic sound.
