Cracow

All of you probably have one crazy Polish buddy and heard a lot of stories of how amazing Poland is. The country becomes more and more popular among European travellers, as it went through a huge development since 2004 (when it joined the EU). One of the most popular destinations is not the capital, Warsaw, but the southern city of Cracow.
The city is charming, full of tourists and always busy. Little, cosy cafes and restaurants seem to occupy every cobble of Cracow’s Main Market Square, which is a beautiful and magical place. It is the most important place not only in the Old Town (which is a UNESCO World Heritage), but in Cracow in general.
The nightlife in Cracow is also centred around the Main Market Square. There are more than 300 eating and drinking establishments in the Old Town! Cracow is ideal for bar hopping. Many locals and tourists have spent nights partying from the Old Town all the way to Vistula River.
Local drink? Obviously the famous Żubrówka (yes, this is the one with buffallo grass inside), Miodowa (honey vodka), Śliwowica (plum brandy) and Wiśniówka (cherry vodka). Don’t even try to say you don’t like it, because Poles will make you drink it anyway...
Most popular tourist attractions are the Wawel Castle, the Wawel Cathedral, Jagiellonian University, Czartoryski Museum, the National Art Museum, the Drapers’s Hall, the Town Hall Tower and the St. Mary's Basilica, the Nowa Huta district, Kazimierz (Jewish District),
Planning an Eurotrip in the end of the summer? Don’t forget to stop in Cracow!
