Jungle Mania celebrates 21 Years in the game in spectacular fashion

21 Years in the game, and boy was it a party. I mean what would you expect with any promoter who’s had that number of years under their belt. They have been putting on the crème da le crème of Jungle raves since day dot. Vibes were second to none, and speaking with some of the people who were streaming out in the morning, the feeling was definitely shared.
It was hard to actually say which B2B DJ team stole the night, each duo brought their own special sound and vibe to recreate the 90’s Jungle explosion that a few old school heads had the chance to appreciate back then.
One of the our favorites DJ’s of all time started the proceeding for us as we stepped into the venue, the legends that are Grooverider and Fabio blessed with the sublime vocal talents of MC Moose. They got everyone bubbling nicely and made the vibes flow with the original sounds of the 90’s, bringing their signature sound of Drum and Bass and Jungle to the old and new heads in the place. Next up we had AWOL veterans and dub plate master Mickey Finn along side his sidekick Darren Jay. There was a moment within their set were I closed my eyes and was transported back to one of those early mornings at Paradise club back in the day.
To have one of the founders of the original jungle sound, Rebel MC, AKA Congo Natty alongside Tenor Fly step up next was a special birthday surprise we were happy to welcome, and oh man, was it special. There is a reason why they are in such high demand now a days, the vibes were so electric that am pretty sure when they dropped Bob Marley “one Love” the Coronet was actually producing its own electricity with the vibes that they generated.
Having Dillinger step up next just showed just how much thought and expense the Jungle Mania team put in to ensure that they covered the whole spectrum of Jungle, and Dillinger went in like a monster and had the “Man Dem” jumping like they were in fact 21 one again themselves. With Brockie B2B with The original bad man Jumping Jack Frost, along side vocal talents of Skibba and Det, they helped ripped a new hole in the roof of the Coronet. Having the likes of the “too hot to handle” Randall B2B with Kenny Ken and Nicky Blackmarket and Bryan Gee round off the proceedings, we were truly spoilt with one of the best Jungle line ups London has seen in a while.
Overall, this was truly one of the best nights of Old Skool Jungle you could of hoped for, the crowd was amazing, very friendly and came with the vibes, the bar was stress free too, I mean 2 minutes to get a drink made sure that you did not miss any of the dub plates that were being thrown down and the laser and light show was just the icing on the birthday cake. If we did have any gripes about the night, then it would be down to the venue’s own sound systems, which was no faults of Jungle Mania. Coming from the “ole skool”, we are used to bone shaking, rumbling bass lines which would of gave some of the tunes played that night the justice it deserved.
We here at Guestlist applaud the Jungle Mania team for putting on such a great night and living up to their motto, “The true pioneers of Jungle” and if you missed it then am afraid you only have yourself to blame. Fortunately to ease the pain (or experience the vibes again), they have just released the 6 X cd Pack of the whole night, so all is not lost.
