The ‘Prince of Purple’ officially announces the release of his first album
As one of the key players of the ever-expanding British electronic music scene, we did have to do a bit of a double take when hearing about the upcoming release of his first album entitled The Vision. His involvement and influence on dubstep has been hugely significant with tunes like ‘Purple City’, ‘Digi Design’ and his newest single release ‘The Vision’ featuring vocals from Jessie Ware; so we did have to be reminded that even after four years and all this material, he hadn’t actually released a full length album yet.
The Bristol bass pioneer who’s pushing his own heavily synth based purple sound has been on the rise since his first EP release back in 2007 (at the age of 16, aww!), and he’s contributed releases to the likes of Kode9’s top dubstep label, Hypderdub. So, needless to say, we’re excited about The Vision, released on 4AD, November 7th. So, still got a month or so to wait, but fear not because the singles ‘Here Come The Lights’ and ‘Trance Girl will be released digitally on 12th September as a little taster of things to come.
