The pioneering conference and festival returns after last year's massive success, taking over T13 Belfast on 4th June.
AVA (Audio Visual Arts) Festival and Conference round two sees a unique mix of local heores, new names and international icons descending on Belfast. The first wave of acts includes heavyweight RØDHÅD on what will be his first Northen Irish appearance and a special homecoming for the Bicep boys who are going to debut their brand new live show. Mano Le Tough, fresh from hitting #15 in RA's Top DJs of 2015, also joins the bill, as does Running Back champ Gerd Janson, Optimo, and underground Belfast talents Phil Kieran, Extended Play’s Jordan, plus Swoose & Cromby. And after their first ever Irish show last year, live streaming giant Boiler Room also return to capture the Belfast spirit on the day.
AVA is also a conference and live broadcast. The day conference, open to all ages and free to the public, will get people playing, talking and testing, bringing together top names in tech and industry to share knowledge and experience. The speakers and panel sessions for the conference include Juan Atkins, the Bicep boys talking about their transition to a live show set-up, Dave Haslam and Mark Lawrence on 'Life After Dark', and a 'Pushing the Dial on Women in Electronic Music' panel with Lizzy Bowman, Shanti Celeste, Halina Wielogorska and Sarah McBriar. Ablteon, Native Instruments, Pioneer and more will be holding it down on the technology front.
