Happy 20th Birthday Sonar!

It was celebrations all round as Sonar recently smashed its 20th Birthday in the dreamy city of Barcelona.
Amidst the roaring sunshine, with a chilled bevvy in each hand, electronic lovers were most definitely in their element as synth love filled the air.
By continuing to fulfil its notorious reputation, Sonar showcased big names like Pet Shop Boys, Jurassic 5 and Kraftwerk throughout the earlier stages of the days. By night, a potent procession of DJ's filled the four colossal stages, with appearances from 2manydjs, Paul Kalbrenner, Skrillex and Justice. The upbeat drive of the electronic forces managed to keep the audience bouncing on their feet, even after an extended day of sunshine.
Paul Kalkbrenner’s set tore apart the Sonarclub stage as he dropped his huge tune 'Sky and Sands', bringing all the electro-heads together with smiles stretching across their faces.
For next summer, Sonar Festival has already planned another three days of electro carnage, as it promises to tear up the city of Barcelona yet again on the 12th, 13th and 14 of June. Or, if you have a little money in your pocket and fancy a flight out to Mexico City, you can catch Sonar Festival there for the first time ever from 16-17th May.
Either way, be sure to catch Sonar Festival somewhere around the world next year, as it is one not to be missed!
