Emanuel Satie digs out the best closing tracks for the summer.
Emanuel has opened his summer on a high, with the release ‘Don’t Forget To Go Home’. The jazz and house fused track has already been a massive success after nabbing Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune title for Miami Music Week and selling out of its vinyl run.
The record, featuring the jazz fusion pioneer Billy Cobham gets the full release on May 22nd on Rebirth. Though it already boasts support from top tier DJs including Pete Tong, Kolsch & Jackmaster - so we can expect to hear this one a lot this summer!
Emanuel Satie has produced this track as one to end the night, he explains:
“Choosing the last record of the night is a big responsibility, but also one of the most enjoyable and rewarding moments for a DJ. It decides with which emotion and in which vibe you send people home (or to the afterparty) and can set an exclamation mark or in the worst case a question mark. Here are some tunes I like to play as the final track of the night.”
Marking out the release of his smasher, we asked Emanuel what other tracks he'll be closing his sets with this summer. He's not let us down including Koze’s disco banger, Krystal Klear and a Jackmaster VIP on the list, you know these are killer!
DJ Koze - Pick Up
“Koze is a master of ‘final tracks’. Every couple years he drops something that fulfills this purpose perfectly. This one from his brilliant last album is one of them again.”
Krystal Klear - Neutron Dance
“Neutron Dance is nuts and should only be played if you want to make people turn up one last time before the bouncers come to say it’s really enough now.”
Denis Sulta - Dubelle Oh XX (Jackmaster VIP)
“Beautiful track until an unexpected drop grabs everyone’s attention and gives a little wake up kick. Genius.”
Axel Boman - abba002
“This one is probably my most played final track of the night over the years. Axel Boman with an edit of presumably Abba. Such a positive, disco-ish vibe and there’s even some birds and waves sounds and all that going on. It’s perfect.”
Emanuel Satie - Don’t Forget To Go Home
“The whole idea behind my new single was to make a track that works as the final track of the night, hence the title. Dreamy rhodes and an uplifting groove makes crowds leave the club with a smile and positivity and the title is a gentle reminder that at some point we all should probably go home. Go home already!”
