BCee counts down five classic Spearhead tracks ahead of their third Egg takeover.
Spearhead have been responsible for some of the sickest drum & bass parties in the Capital over the years. From Village Underground to Lightbox, Spearhead have smashed it. Last year began a new era in Spearhead parties as they moved to Egg. They filled all five of it’s rooms with premier names from across the d&b scene, packing out the venue… Twice!!
The imprint returns to the club on January 12th with another mouth-watering line up. Double headlining the show are two legends in crisp liquid and experimental tunes, Alix Perez & Rockwell. They’ll be rinsing out in Egg’s Garden alongside Storm, BCee’s collab project with Villem; The Vanguard Project, Commix & Reso. Elsewhere in the venue there’s sets from Doc Scott, Seba, Utah Jazz & many more.
Such a huge line up, Spearhead’s third outing at Egg promises to be special. Ahead of the show, label head BCee counts down some of his favourite Spearhead classics. From Netsky to S.P.Y. all these tracks perfectly capture those sweet uplifting vibes that we all love Spearhead for.
I Refuse - Netsky
“One of Netsky's first tracks, before he'd even signed to Hospital, and still the one that smashes up the dance each and every time.”
By Your Side - S.P.Y.
“I think everyone knows this one. It was around for about 2 years before S.P.Y. called me and said that we needed to release it and of course, I said yes.”
Trauma (feat. Rocky Nti) - Hybrid Minds
“This is my go to Hybrid Minds track. The combination of strings and Rocky Nti's hook are the perfect combination.”
About Tonight - LSB
“This entire EP just oozes emotion. Luke always manages to catch some magic in his tracks and for me this was the track that really cemented that.”
Generations - BCee
“This was the title track from my first solo EP and is still one of the tracks that I get asked about the most. So much so that I included a remastered version on my new album, 8 years later!”
