The crack is back
As the much anticipated release of Trainspotting 2 is on the 27th of January, fans of the twisted insight into Scotland's heroin scene are waiting to see what director Danny Boyle is going to shock us with next. It is based partly on Irvine Welsh’s second novel ‘Porno’, which has been described as “not a great book in the way that Trainspotting, the original novel, is genuinely a masterpiece”.
This second instalment is sure to touch on some very disturbing social scenes. 21 years after the release of the first Trainspotting, the well established cast returns in full, including Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner and Robert Carlyle. Its going to be exciting to see how these actors have grown and matured as performers in this next instalment. It is hinted by Carlyle that T2 “is going to be quite emotional for people. Because the film sort of makes you think about yourself. You are going to be thinking “ ‘Fuck. What have I done with my life?’"
