With his Hideout LP so close now, we wanted to know L Plus' top influences.
The wait is nearly over for the Slovakian's debut album. Over the years L Plus has blessed Technique with his hard edged, big room drum & bass anthems. He's one of the labels most consistent names and it's about time he dropped his debut.
In the build up to the eagerly awaited Hideout LP, the producer has just dropped his second sampler 'Avenger'. Its a hard stepped techny piece of work that's sure to leave a dent in the floors. Hear the second sampler for the forthcoming album here.
With the samplers out, all that's left is for the full length, unadulterated Hideout experience to drop. We asked L Plus for the tunes that have helped influence and shape the album - it's big.
Drumsound & Bassline Smith - The Truth VIP
"Very effective weapon in my recordbag. This simplicity was very inspirational for me in my studio while working on Hideout album."
Tantrum Desire - Airhead
"Extremely original tune with really crispy sound - is always in my mixes. Big inspiration for me!"
Mefjus - Blitz
"The most simple and most powerful tune on the drum&bass scene over the last year. I feel it as a sound reference for some tunes while mastering."
Dimension - Whip Slap
"More than year old tune but still rocking in the mainstage mixes all over the festivals this year. I still love to play the 1st drop and happy to see crowd reactions."
The Prototypes - Rocket Guns Blazin
"This one is the pure beast, original sounding, very powerful tune full of energy which I like the most on this one, and of course people love that on the floor."
