Jeremy Corbyn To Headline Glastonbury 2016 Other | Tuesday 12th April 2016 | Megan Glastonbury Labour Jeremy Corbyn Following being elected as Labour's leader in September, Jeremy Corbyn has been nominated to speak at the festival after accepting the offer from political singer-songwriter Billy Bragg. He will be speaking on behalf of Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. This came as a huge surprise as he is quite a controversial person but a spokesman for Corbyn stated when talking to The Mirror that Mr Corbyn is a huge fan of the festival and that he is looking forward to attending as a guest for the CND. Michael Eavis, Glastonbury's founder, is happy about Jeremy Corbyn being involved with the festival and what he will be doing because Eavis himself spoke for CND in the 80s during Thatcher's power after she destroyed thousands of miner's lives. Jeremy will be speaking in the Left Side tent. Compared to the special appearence of the Dalai Lama last year, Jeremy Corbyn might need to step up his game and hope he can be as inspirational. Nevertheless, this will be a huge advantage for him and his political party and will do a lot of good for CND also. Big up man like Jezza!
