Barcelona's Checkpoint unveils its plans for 2016.
Checkpoint takes pride in exploring the relationship between avant-garde art and techno, and these collide at Theatre City Hall in Barcelona. As well as great DJ and live act offerings from the worlds of house, techno and minimal, Checkpoint also collaborates with artists from across various disciplines including sculpture, light, 3D mapping and painting, adding audiovisual projections and musical showcases at Art Lab second stage.
At the heart of the party are key Barcelona born residents such as Sonodab, Rainer, Baraso, Sampol and Rick Maia, who are all very talented, focused to reach out the most emerging club sounds and are sure to have much higher profiles in 2016 because of their work with Checkpoint. Joining them in spring 2016 will be Perlon label's starlight Sonja Moonear, Nastia, Zendid, Romanian icon Priku, Slow Life talents S.Moreria (live) and Laurine, Barac, Robin Ordell, French micro house pioneer Cabanne, tINI and more.
With cult operators from the contemporary worlds of house and techno all lining up, there can be few better places to party in Barcelona during 2016 than with the Checkpoint crew.
