Liz-E is definitely an artist to watch in 2016!
Captuing a love for drum & bass from raves like Helter Skelter and Slamming Vinyl, Liz-E quickly moved into DJing and then music production. After a few years of hard work, Liz-E, real name Elizabeth Welch, has started her jounrey to the top.
A chance meeting with Smokin Riddims boss Jaydan quickly turned into a record signing. In her early days she developed her sound and style, but it didn't take long for Liz-E's music to leave lasting impressions on some of drum & bass' best.
She had a few releases on Smokin Riddims that set the bench mark for her, which she smashed with her record The Last Time. Sent as a promo to BBC Radio 1's Friction it quickly generated a lot of attention, Friction himself even wanting it out on his SGN LTD. The decision was made to get it out on SGN LTD in 2013, the smooth liquid vibes suited the label perfectly and was very different to her usual style, demostrated on Smokin'.
It was a defining moment for Liz-E: it proved her versatility as a producer and didn't tie her down to one sub style. She kept up the pressure and snatched herself the award for Best Female Artist at The National Drum & Bass Awards in 2014, confirming she wasn't going away any time soon.
Following the successes in 2014, Liz-E completely smashed 2015 with loads of new music on SGN LTD, Smokin Riddims, she even made the cut for Shogun Audio's Point Of Origin compilation.
Her talents in studio are now in hot demand with support from an array of artists inclduing Annie Mac, Mistajam and DJ Hazard. Her hard work and dedication to the music has done the groundwork, the only direction now is up!
