MILLION MASK MARCH IN LONDON

Other | Thursday 5th November 2015 | Tom

Hacktivist group Anonymous have organised a ‘Million Mask March’ in London tonight. Organisers of the march, which is symbolically held on Bonfire Night, have told protesters that ‘the police are not your friends’ following police attempts to tightly control both the route and time of the march.

The protests which are also being held in approximately 670 other cities around the world are expected to be the largest since they started 4 years ago. Here's some footage from last year:

Issues behind the march include: civil liberties, corruption, the creation of a surveillance state and the government's treatment of the poor and the elderly.

The march has been organised to take place at rush hour for maximum impact, with the London march being one of the largest marches globally.

The march is on right now in Trafalgar Square.
