High Definition Festival cancelled again!

With the saturated market of music festivals in the UK, along with it’s strict licensing laws, it comes as no surprise that another Festival will not go ahead this year. HD Festival has had to sadly cancel its event for the second time this year, leaving hundreds of ticket holders disappointed.
High Definition festival which was set to take place on the 5th and 6th of September at Hop Farm have cancelled due to licencing issues. This is only 3 weeks before the event and undoubtedly left a logistical nightmare for organizer to process refunds for the many who purchased tickets.
Many disgruntled ticket holders who couldn’t make the new dates are still trying to get there money refunded, and an online petition has been started.
The owners of the new festivals venue confirmed that the event was cancelled, and apparently its not the 1st time that an event had to be cancelled at this venue.
Releasing a statement to the Kent and Sussex Courier, Hop Farm owners said:
"We understand that this has caused disappointment amongst fans, ticket holders and of course ourselves, but unfortunately The Hop Farm was left in a position where its event licence was in serious jeopardy. the Hop Farm has a good relationship (and works closely) with the council and nearby residents to provide responsible events and in doing so it keeps within the parameters set out in its licence. The organisers of the HD festival failed to sufficiently evidence that these parameters had been met and on time in order for the event to proceed."
HD organisers released a statement on Facebook last week in reaction to the venues statement:
“It is with great regret that the rumours are true and The Hop Farm have cancelled High Definition Festival. Please check back later today for a full statement and instructions for ticket holders. The organisers of HD do not accept 'The Hop Farm' had valid reasons for cancelling the festival and the matter is now in the hands of solicitors. Further announcements about refunds will be made as soon as possible.”
It’s not been an easy ride for HD organisers since moving dates and venues for HD festival 2015, and ticket holders are reported not to be happy with the way the refund process is being handled, with many saying that ticket sellers “Ticketscript” have not provided timely refunds on tickets.
We sincerely hope that this situation is sorted out ASAP, and punters are refunded in time so they can arrange alternative plans.
