Goldie’s Fucking Timeless

Drum and Bass | Tuesday 21st July 2015 | Osh

An album that helped define a generation, now brought to life by Goldie and the Heritage Orchestra

Released on the 12th Of September 1995, Goldie’s Timeless album has been hailed as one of the most genre defining, ground breaking albums of all time. Blending complex hopped and layered break beats and deep bass lines of jungle and drum and bass with expansive, symphonic strings and atmospherics, and female vocals, it created a crossover hit and helped popularise drum and bass as a form of musical expression

Throughout the years Goldie has achieved many things within his artistic career, from a graffiti artist, a DJ, and various acting roles, always staying true to his art and never giving his fan base anything that was diluted. Goldie's talent is raw and Timeless, as an album, captures that early energy that made Goldie stand out from the rest.

Returning after a sell-out show at James Lavelle's Meltdown last year, Goldie is back to introduce The Heritage Orchestra, who’ll perform his most celebrated album, live.

They have expanded and reworked the tracks for full orchestra, band, choir, electronics, and guest vocalists. Conducted by Jules Buckley, this seminal record is performed with an orchestra for the second time.

2 nights at the Royal Festival Hall (22nd and 23rd July), plus one night in Bristol (25th July) at the Lloyds Amphitheatre. If this album touched you when it was first released then don’t miss your chance to catch this live.
