Just Jack Freak Boutique: Review.
Monday 5th November 2012 | flora
We’ve had a hectic week of gruesomeness, but still at the forefront of our minds is the amazing night that kicked off our Halloween goings on. With promises a plenty of apocalyptical happenings, Just Jack’s Halloween Freak Boutique at Motion, Bristol was always going to be a special night. With a new look Motion, including elevated bar and circus themed tent, there was plenty to keep us entertained, and of course not forgetting the absolutely huge line up filling the three impressive warehouse spaces that make up Motion. Whilst the main warehouse was pumping out tech-house all night, with heavyweights Josh Wink and Ryan Crosson amongst others playing… our focus was more closely on the sounds of our very own house producers Huxley, Eats Everything and Mosca, who as ever delivered incredible, crowd pleasing sets. The psychedelic décor was matched by some very impressive Halloween get-ups, with everyone getting into the spirit (and Jimmy Saville was most definitely in attendance, in numbers). The freakiness of the whole night was topped off with the clocks, did anyone really know what time it was? And did we lose or gain an hour in Motion? Anyway, with some very fond and sketchy memories, we will no doubt be heading back to Freak Boutique next year for some more weird and wonderful experiences.
