Partying in Edinburgh – one night only
Thursday 18th October 2012 | Mary-Cate
There are literally hundreds of venues in Edinburgh and with a high student population a party is never hard to find!
Firstly, check for gigs at local indie haunts: the Liquid Room, The Egg and The Wee Red Bar. Before the party Treacle is a great place to grab a bite; with its’ funky monkey décor this kitchen/bar also does very delicious cocktails. After dinner (especially if it’s a Thursday) make your way to 99 Hanover Street. It’s a cosy bar with a velvety, regal feel. Next, stumble along George Street – the epicentre of Edinburgh nightlife. First stop is the oriental themed club Shanghai, then it’s on to the Georgian elegance of Lulu. If you’re still standing after this check out Fingers Piano Bar to belt out those classics you love (when you’re drunk). Last but not least crawl to Penny Black which opens at 6am. As you can see one night in Edinburgh is just not enough!
