Weather in mid-October would be maximum- 32 degree Celsius and minimum- 18 degree Celsius. Enjoy the sun and enjoy the heritage of the state.

Here is the list of Rajasthan’s main cities and their major attractions:

The Pink City- Jaipur: The capital city of Rajasthan is popularly known as "Pink City" because of the pink walls and buildings of the old city. It is large, crowded, and noisy. However, it's a city full of captivating ancient palaces and forts, with most of them boasting stunning architecture. Its major attractions are City Palace, Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), Amber Fort and Palace, Nahargarh Fort and JantarMantar. A visit to these places in Jaipur will give you a feel for how the monarchy once lived in all its glory. Jaipur is an excellent place for shopping. The main shopping area is on M I road. Do buy some of the Indian Folk items.

The Blue City- Jodhpur: Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan, set at the edge of the Thar Desert. The buildings in the city are painted blue which gives the blue appeal and calmness to the emptiness of the desert. This city can be covered in one day- touring to Meherangarh Fort- the whole of fort-studded Rajasthan is situated on a high natural rock, Jaswant Thada- an imposing white marble cenotaph and Umaid Bhawan Palace & Museum- a rich collection of exhibits - armoury, textiles, local arts and crafts, miniature paintings.

The Golden City- Jaisalmer: Jaisalmer is the tiny jewel in heart of desert, surrounded by shinning sand dunes. It is also called The Museum city as its chief attraction is the stonework facades of merchant havellis and private houses and a series of ornately carved Jain temples. This city dazzles gloriously during sunrise and has a peculiar glow over sunset. In the morning visit Gadisar Lake and in the early evening visit the sand dunes on a camel where you will enjoy the sunset. On the next day, go to Patwon-Ki-Haveli (house of the brocade merchants) the largest havelis of Jaisalmer.

The Romantic City- Udaipur: Udaipur is an enchanting place full of old mansions, beautiful gardens, intricate temples, and grand palaces and shimmering lakes. It is often referred as Venice of the East. The City Palace, which stretches along the eastern shore of Lake Pichola, leaves visitors spellbound. Other places to visit in Udaipur are Bagor Ki Haveli, which will be a glimpse into the lifestyle of a royal family and Monsoon Palace situated high on the hill above the city. The best time to visit Monsoon Palace is to witness the sunset and on your way to Monsoon Palace, you can also explore Sajjan Garh Wildlife Sanctuary.

The Green City- Mount Abu: Mount Abu is a pleasant retreat, a green oasis in the barren desserts of Rajasthan. It is the only hill station of Rajasthan located in the Aravalli Range. It is the place to visit famous Hindu temples like Adhar Devi Temple, Durga Temple and Ambika Mata Temple. Other major attractions of this city are Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary and Nakki Lake. There is the Toad Rock on the hill near the lake. After the warmth of Rajasthan deserts, this place will give you the chill breeze from the hills of India.
