Finally the umbrella can be left at home, Summer has arrived and so has another session of Not Another at Cargo in Shoreditch. With Summer comes the opportunity for a tan a BBQ and a whole lot of amazing music. SO what will you experience? A bonanza of the UK’s latest and greatest acts and musicians from Dubstep to Hip-Hop MC’s, Jazz musicians and turntablists, vocalists and a whole lot more.
So who will be gracing the stage? Misha B, said to be a mixture of Jennifer Hudson with a Nicki Minaj edge, mix in a whole lot of charisma and the stage performance of Tina Turner and you will start to get an idea of what kind of package Misha brings to the table.
But wait it doesn’t end there. Feel like a little folk and soul? Then get prepared for 23-year-old singer/songwriter (and tattooist) from east London Purple Ferdinand. Described by MTV UK as having a “stripped back and honest acoustic approach that lets her poetic words sink into our skin so much more easily,” Mmmmm yum!
Speaking of yum the Bakery Boys will also be amazing you all at Cargo with their phenomenal amount of talent. From music production and writing, to arts, film and fashion, here you will find everything masterfully intertwined in all they produce, bringing a breath of fresh air to the UK music scene. However for the Dj lovers out there you haven’t been forgotten about.
Fresh from playing at BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend, hosting festival stages including The Camden Crawl & Lovebox Dj Emily Rawson is one of the UK’s most in demand female Djs & promoters. Having just arrived back from NYC where she supported NYC hip-hop legend Rich Medina, Emily will be spinning the decks at Cargo just for you!
As they say “make hay while the sun shines” and what better way to do it than in the outdoor terrace garden at Cargo next Wednesday.
So here are the deets!
