Silk Road Is Still Open For Business

Other | Thursday 12th July 2012 | Osh

According to reliable sources, The Silk Road is still running as usual despite sustained effort from mostly American authorities.

By now, a lot of people heard of this Darknet site of shopping anarchy, where all the hazy dreams of the sixties can come true. The Silk Road is an online, anonymous marketplace where one may casually use Bitcoins to purchase any item of illegal contraband known to man:  drugs by the kilos, weapons, fake passports, et cetera, and it’s all being traded freely, peer to peer, on this website.

Under the protection of anonymity provided by the encrypting software Tor and the virtually untraceable online currency called Bitcoin, law has apparently become obsolete.

It’s not quite as easy to use as Amazon, but the beautiful Internet is full of instructions and this revolutionary website’s popularity is steadily growing - driving the Machine crazy in the process. Use it at your own risk though - as rumours have it, it’s being heavily infiltrated by undercover FBI, as sellers .

N.B.: If you have no idea what this article is talking about, let Google take you to school by doing a simple search of the terms "tor project", "silk road marketplace", "darknet", "bitcoins" - not necessarily  in that order. Welcome to the apex of free enterprise or neo - capitalism at its best.
