Warehouse in London re-opens
House | Wednesday 11th July 2012 | Osh
In recent years club closures have meant that London’s electronic music scene has suffered, with nights often having to take place at more secretive unannounced venues. Certain organisers can pull such nights off to great effect, but often venues like this come hand in hand with poor sound and all round disorganisation. The Warehouse is here to change all this.
Following a massive refurbishment, Warehouse in London is set to open its doors once again and are kicking things off with a massive opening weekend on the 25th and 26th of August. Its clear that the club is starting as they mean to go on. Warehouse are keeping the name of the headline DJ they’ve booked for the opening weekend firmly under wraps but the DJ is from the USA and has headlined clubs such as DC-10 to Watergate in Berlin.
DJ’s that have been confirmed for the coming months include the likes of DJ Sneak, Lee Foss, MK, ATFC, Danny Daze and Copyright.
Its very clear that Warehouse are heading in the right direction. With a state of the art sound system installed that will rival any club in London and the purpose built warehouse space that will offer the raw features of the underground scene with none of the disorganised drawbacks, there seems little space for anything to go wrong.
All this plus a new direction, new owners and a new sounds system make this one of the most exciting club refurbs on the electronic music scene.
