"Tube transport replaced by pipe journey"

Confusion grew as commuters looking to get home and tourists wanting to take in the London sights were delayed on the Underground's Central line. The culprit was a burst water main which had been in use for one hundred years. After causing 750m of flooding, the water caused trains to stop in the middle of tunnels. Transport for London were not available for comment but faced even more criticism when it emerged that the affected train service will be one of the busiest during the Olympic period. Tens of thousands of people,both tourists and otherwise, are expected for the greatest sporting event of the year in a matter of days so this does not bode well for potential transport expectations.Unhappy passengers were forced to walk through a poorly lit tunnel at Stratford, east London.
