At the start of this year, Aoki released his first full-length album ‘Wonderland’. A genre-crossing hybrid of underground-meets-mainstream, buzzing with Les Rythmes Digitales-esque dance pop through to rock-infused disco, dubstep and even accessible house cuts, Aoki has created what he believes is his magnum opus and an album that perfectly reflects his spirit and vision as an artist at his peak. ‘Wonderland’ debuted at #10 in the US and #6 in the Canadian iTunes album charts and has garnered widespread acclaim from the US dance cognoscenti like Rolling Stone, Billboard and Big Shot Magazine, who hailed the album as ‘one of the top dance/electronic music albums to look for in 2012’.
Charged from a colossal 3 month, 45 date North American tour, the Dim Mak honcho will be lacing up his iconic Supra trainers and unleashing his ‘Wonderland’ tour across the Atlantic right here in the UK. Armed with the exuberant cuts from the album and a steady army of guests, UK fans will be treated to impeccable visuals and of course Aoki’s legendary DJ show performances.
