Floating Points unveils new track and returns to Plastic People

House | Wednesday 26th November 2014 | Matt

If you haven't yet had the pleasure of experiencing a Floating Points set, this Saturday provides the perfect opportunity to soak up his inimitable blend of classic funk, soul, disco and house. No one digs through crates and comes up holding such pure gold quite like Shepherd, and his uncanny ability to consistently find the rarest gems from music's golden age means you're guaranteed to be scouring the internet for weeks to come in search of some of his choicer cuts.

What makes the night particularly special for music lovers however, is the chance to hear Shepherd's hotly anticipated new mixer  in the flesh. A labour of love for Shepherd, his collaboration with Isonoes is the result of his desire to experience the same level of audio fidelity in the club as in the world's most high end recording and mastering studios. With a release date yet to be announced, and prices rumoured to be upwards of the tens of thousands, this is a truly unmissable opportunity to check it out in the club it was developed for before the Isonoes FP finds its way into the hands of other djs next year.

Tickets are £10 on the door, but get there early as it's sure to be rammed as always. To get you in the mood, check out Shepherd's new track, Nuits Sonores, a perfect showcase of his compositional expertise:

Where: Plastic People, 147-149 Curtain Road; Shoreditch; London EC2A 3QE
