This dubstep duo have been on the rise in the last few months, not only in the electronic music scene but in the charts as well. TGN got the opportunity to speak to the pair just after their epic Dubstep Symphony with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.
Hey, where are you guys at the moment?
We're at our video shoot for Promises, then Joe is off to Ibiza tonight and we're wrapping up the final content for our album tomorrow in the studio.
Can you tell us a bit about your new album and what we can expect?
Well it's a mix of Dubstep, House, Electro, it has elements of Drum and Bass and trance in there too. We think it really works as a soundclash and it flows together as one piece.
You have remixed massive hits by La Roux, Deadmau5, N*E*R*D and Daft Punk. Is there anything we should be watching out for?
We've been concentrating on our own material for a while, so watch out for our album, it's dropping August 15th.
Your 'Blinded By The Lights' Remix went mental. Did you realise at the time that this was going be such a huge hit?
We're really happy with how it turned out; we did it to play out in our sets and couldn't believe the attention it got.
You've recently signed to Chase & Status' MTA label, how did that come about?
We were good friends on the scene and when they suggested it we really liked the idea of working with other artists that have been through it all before. It's worked out really well so far.
What was your first record you both ever bought?
Joe bought Level 42 - The Best Of… I bought The Prodigy - Experience
Whats your raving track at the moment?!
Promises (Skrillex & Nero remix)
If you had a swimming pool filled with anything, what would it be?
Water.
It's been a big year so far for you guys, what do you guys have in store for the rest of the 2011?
We're remixing the next Sebasian single on Ed Banger records, but mainly we're excited for the release of the album and touring the live show.
Nero release new single promises on August 7th and their debut album on August 15th. Check them out on their Myspace page: www.myspace.com/nerouk
