Paul Weller plays the Royal Albert Hall on the 25th of March

Indie | Tuesday 12th February 2013 | Tom

In the early 70's, Paul Weller formed The Jam. An important, historical moment in the history of British rock&roll as they were to become what MC5 still are to the U.S.A: national treasures. With hits such as the hearty, notorious 'That's Entertainment' and the upbeat 'Going Underground', this Surrey quartet were able to reach out to those searching for a slightly different vibe to that of the punk produced by The Ramones and Pistols, which surrounded the musical spectrum at that time. After The Jam, the Modfather strove towards even more success with The Style Council, changing his sound and proving that he is indeed an eclectic performer.

Weller will surely provide an enticing show for the people watching, taking them back through his time spent with The Jam while also providing a subtle solo flavour along the way as well. All proceeds will be donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
