Eminem causes a stir with new song #Untouchable

RnB/Hip Hop | Monday 11th December 2017 | Jaiya

Ahead of his new album Revival which will be released on 15th of December, Mr Marshall Mathers dropped a track named 'Untouchable', a six-minute exploration of racism in modern America with topics ranging from Trump to police brutality.

The second pre-release single following on from the minimal and emotive 'Walk On Water' featuring Beyonce, the lyrical content of 'Untouchable' has already caused a huge amount of controversy, with commentators claiming that a white, caucasian man is not the appropriate agent to give a balanced account of such an issue. Some feel he’s done it in bad taste, though others have praised him for bringing attention to the issue that doesn't get the level of media coverage it deserves.

So should he have just left the race commentary to Kendrick Lamar or Joey Bada$$, or could he actually be making a difference by using his platform to bring attention to one of the most serious issues facing American society today?

Decide for yourselves and have a listen to the song below, we'd love to know your thoughts on it in the comments.

You can pre-order Revival here.
