The Activators
The Activators are a unique 10-piece band whose eclectic style transcends Ska, Reggae, Celtic, Punk, 60s Garage and Dub, even venturing into Baltic folk and Bossanova - they don't like to be pigeonholed!
The Common Heroes
The Common Heroes are an indie rock band made up of eclectic mix of musicians with a wide range of musical tastes, age and experience. They have headlined festivals and supported some very big names in the music world. They also recently got to the quarter finals of the recent BBC competition - the Best Part Time Band, with the show acknowledging that the band were in the top 10% of unsigned bands in the country.
Their completely original music, combines the sounds of such artists as Paul Weller, Led Zepplin, the Who and Oasis, to create a unique melodic wall of sound.
Guitar riffs to catch the listener's ears are accompanied by thumping driving bass lines, innovative drumming and passionate vocals.
"They'd get the dead dancing." Bez - Happy Monday's
"Great sound, Great Riffs." - Nigel Clarke, Dodgy.
"The Public needs to hear more of the Common Heroes." BBC - Britain's Best Part Time Band
