Don Cotti's latest EP marks the end of his free series

Reggae | Wednesday 2nd November 2016 | Arren

South London's Don Cotti has dropped his final free EP in his 12 part series.

The Mr Prolific EP landed on Monday, marking the end of Don Cotti's free monthly EPs. In it he's rinsed his trademark deep dub, grime, dancehall flex that have kept this man one step ahead of the rest in the UK's underground scene.

The Brixton producer/artist first rose to promience since dubstep's early days with a string of bone shaking half step cuts. Cotti had the support of everyone in the scene and has collobarted with so many top underground artists from Skream and Skepta to Dub Pistols and Coki.

The sound he champions now has come a long way from his original dubstep vibes, now injecting his minimal beats with even higher doses of reggae, dancehall and grime for a sound like no other. His unique blend of sounds has seen Don Cotti continue to release high quality UK music whilst the rest of the dubstep scene has fallen largely silent.

This year the producer has been releasing free EPs through his label, Sumting New, with last month's being the last in the series. Across the 12 EPs, Cotti has capture the sounds of his journey from Jamaica to the UK's underground music scenes. Support has been huge for these, clocking up to almost 10K downloads - Don Cotti ain't done yet.
